How do I know if my locations are restricted?
If you are unsure about any part of your planned route at any stage, you should contact our team at (08) 8947 2846 or enquiries@topendcarrentals.com.au before travelling so that we can confirm whether the location is permitted or requires Special Approval to avoid breach of contract.
Can I drive this camper to interstate?
Interstate travel is generally not permitted; however, customers may contact our team to request Special Approval. Any approval is subject to a detailed discussion of your intended routes, travel plans and the safety considerations involved. Because interstate travel involves significant distances, remote conditions and limited support services, our team must assess whether the proposed journey can be undertaken safely. If Special Approval is granted, you will be required to sign the appropriate documentation before the vehicle can be released.
Do We Charge Late Fees For A Late Return?
If we are notified couple of hours in advance about the late return, we provide two hours grace period so that you don’t have to rush.
If we are not notified, we give a grace period of 30 minutes to customer to notify us about your whereabout with the vehicle. A full day’s rental cost (based on the website price) will be charged to the customer.
Will We Charge You For The Kilometres Driven?
Yes, but this depends on the length of your hire and the type of vehicle. For both SUV and 4WD rentals, unlimited kilometres are provided when the hire period is a minimum of five days. For shorter rentals, an included daily kilometre allowance applies. SUV hires include 250 kilometres per day, and 4WD hires include 250 kilometres per day.
